You my precious friend has a birthday today
And I couldn't let it pass without sending love your way
Time may pass that we don't get to chat
But you are so dear to me and that's a fact
You have made a difference in my life from the start
I have you close by right here in my heart
The love you share each and everyday
Makes you special to many I'd say
So take the day off and do something nice
Perhaps relaxing in your recliner would be good advice
After you've had dinner perhaps a big juicy steak
Treat yourself to a slice of birthday cake
Just enjoy your day that comes once a year

Our Lord is amazing how he puts others in our path
