Shelter Me

Shelter me with your unconditional love
and your heavenly strength.
And when it rains shelter me with your wings
and protect me from the storms that cross my path
Shelter me from the hunters Gaze and be my director in life
throughout all eternity.
Shelter me and enlighten me with hope
so that I may learn to trust once again
Shelter me because I seek refuge from you in all your almighty ways.
Shelter me with your heavenly wings and be my spiritual shield
Shelter me and protect me from the arrows cast in my direction from the deceiver in life
Shelter me and do not let me fall
Because I know you are near
Protect me from harm
And guard my home from thy enemies
Cast them away with fear
Shelter me And carry me under your wings
So that I cannot be poisoned by the evil that lurks in dark places
Shelter me and rescue me and fill my days with light
Shelter me and cast your light down on me
In all its heavenly ways
Be beside me through the dark days
And fill my days with color throughout the painted skies in heaven

Today tomorrow and through out eternity

My thoughts wandered as I was sitting on my swing
feeling the wind blowing right before the rain
The tree’s were swaying
And the leaves were dancing
And the clouds were changing
As the birds were singing
And I found myself thinking
What if tomorrow never came
What could I leave behind
And it came to mind
That I will face a day
when my time will come
where I will rise above my body as I am looking down
And I will soar with the eagles
and fly with the angels
And all my burdens and sorrows will be gone
I would be able to sit on the clouds
and watch the rain fall down
and I could touch the rainbows
as there painted colors embraced the skies
My human form would no longer exist
and I wouldn’t have to worry about this
Except for my loved ones That I would truly miss
If I could really make a difference
with just one more day
I would hope the Good Lord would bless me in a special way
And I asked myself what could I do differently
And this is what came to mind
I would want to embrace my loved ones one more time
And I would love them all unconditionally without having to say another word
I would want to make them smile in my presence
Knowing I have embraced them
from the very essence of my soul
I would then feel content and complete through out eternity
To know that I have embraced there hearts with a genuine smile
And that I have touched there souls with my unconditional love through out infinity
A new day is on the horizon
And I Thank God that I am alive today
Because I sure do appreciate life completely
The rain is pounding in the grass
And the tree’s are swaying back and forth
As they dance with the clouds in the wind
And to my amazement I look up to the skies and a rainbow appears embracing me with unconditional love and a beautiful reflection of a smile from God Looking down.
Its amazing how my mind can wander at times
But one thing is for sure
God loves us all unconditionally
each and every day
And God embraces us when the storms cross our paths in life.
And no matter what hurdles stand in our way
Remember God is always there
But more then anything
Remember we are all
a mere reflection through him
Please remember if all you had was just one more day
to try and love others unconditionally in every way
It will leave smiles on their faces and room for hope in the days ahead.
